Guess who's back making remixes again? That's right not me lmao. For real tho it's been ages since I last released a remix of any kind, more so a remix done by me and not from someone else for or from a remix EP. Yea, here's my take of Suskii track Hivemind from his Bugsquad EP.

So I can't really remember the exact time I did this but I asked Suskii for any remix stems of one of his tracks, i've been listening to his work for a while now and I thought now would've been a great time to remix a track of his (this being around the release of the Bugsquad EP). Originally I was meant to remix Clockwork but he sadly couldn't give me the stems in time so instead we decided on Hivemind. I didn't really know what to expect of the track because I didn't listen to it yet, when he did give me the stems. But after a quick listen I noticed two things, one it was a relatively fast but effective trap track and two it was very experimental for him.

In so keeping those things in mind I wanted my remix to be experimental but I had no idea how it would turn out yet. I tried with two different genres until I found this genre to work really well for my remix (Neuro-Dark Drum and Bass/Halftime). I originally started with a Hybrid Trap/Future Bass remix but sadly it didn't go too far from the first drop. The intro to this remix is a nod to that version with the drums and percussion.

The second version of the remix I actually almost finished but after leaving the remix alone for some time, I didn't like it and decided to try again fresh. (This genre was more so a blend of Trance and Electro, the only thing from that version that made it into this version of the remix was the arps and vox like pads.)

Finally settling in this version of the remix was sparked by pure accident. I was working on a track of my own until I decide to bring some of the stems into the production and since then I knew this was going to be the new remix. All it took was finding the rhythm and tempo but finally in my mind it clicked, this track was meant to a dark grittier style of Drum and Bass. The actual genre I was looking for was Halftime. Cut to now and i'm finally glad I finished it out, giving it my own flair yet being experimental too :D. Like in the style of my other track Timeleaper.

I hope you enjoy this remix and hope I can see you here again for the next remix, i'm finally back to remixing things again (since I won't be doing any new original tunes for a while) and i've been waiting to release remixes i've been working on for a while now.
